Diets?

Josh and I have seen countless posts today about diets people are starting tomorrow and I am over here thinking of the best toppings to put on my ice cream without fearing the number on the scale or if my pants are going to fit tomorrow! I am also thinking of the years I was doing the same. Making resolutions that finally that year I would stick with a diet, only to fail over and over. I have been angry that I couldn't eat foods that my naturally thin husband and others could eat because I blamed my body for weight gain if I ate something I "wasn't supposed to because the diet said so". I have been fearful of food, strict with diets, missed birthday cakes for years, etc. until almost 2 years ago (middle of Jan 2017) I decided no more. As most of you know to start releasing weight, I actually stopped the diets and restrictions and started working on my trauma, including *food trauma, and started eating everything I had once restricted. In just 13 months I released 100 lbs eating everything that were big diet no nos. WHAT? Yes you heard that right. I enjoyed 7+ birthday cakes a year just from my family alone. I enjoyed everything that I had once feared without shame, anxiety and terror.

While it was hard to work on my food trauma and what came up which caused a whole lot of crying along with other trauma and my fear and mentality, it was so worth it. It's hard doing diets and meal plans, finding time and energy to count calories, macros, workouts and eating different than everyone else, I did that hard for years, but almost 2 years ago I chose another hard and it's been so rewarding! #chooseyourhard I wish for everyone going into the New Year to not fear food or your body, to have peace eating and actually enjoy and feel satisfied with your body and when you eat. I believe you can do that just like I did. You can get to a point where you can eat what you desire, enjoy it and NOT guilt and shame yourself.
*Did you know you could have trauma around food?? Every single client I have worked with, all ages, all over the world has had some type of food trauma, so for anyone out there listening to me, it doesn't hurt to try something that goes against diet mentality and against what you have been ingrained with for years. It doesn't hurt to watch my free videos and at least try. This year alone since starting my free group and sharing some of my tips and tricks, there has been over 1,480lbs released (and that is just from those who have let me know) from my free videos alone while they have enjoyed their favorite foods!!
