Color Trauma Part 1

 Color Trauma Part 1:

Did you know for years and years I wouldn't wear pink or white? Let me tell you why.....

I was a young girl and so excited for my new light pink shirt, I wore it with great confidence to have my aunt tell me "Red Heads don't wear pink. It looks awful on us". Immediately I changed and after that I never had anything pink. I also heard for as long as I can remember how light red heads skin was and how it washed us out to wear white so it was a huge no no. As a girl I believed it. I took it on as truth and limited myself based off others belief of colors!
After working through this, I now own several things that are white and many fantastic shades of pink, including these freaking awesome new PINK pants. I decided I look awesome in pink and white even though I have light freckly skin and red hair! Booyah!!!
(This is my face to anyone who tries to tell me what color I should or shouldn't wear that
Josh
humored me taking pictures of yesterday while I wore BOTH colors 🙂 )
I have deeper trauma around the colors red/orange/yellow but that is for another day. *Edited to add, after this post I had so much fun online shopping for red, orange and yellow and can't wait!!
Where are you limiting yourself because of what others believe (even if it is just a color of clothing)????
Trust me when I say, let that limitation go. It is so freeing!
**If you are a fellow redhead, rock that white, pink, yellow, orange and red!!!**
